Wu

Wu dialects are situated in near the mouth of the YangTze (ChangJiang [ ]) River on the east coast of China. The city of Suzhou [ ] (once called Soochow) is the paragon for Wu [ ], though today the dialect of Shanghai has gained ascendence because of its status as an special economic zone.
