This is a list of jargon which I've found in the course of reading some books on Chinese phonology.

Abbreviations

These are placed in curly brackets, and listed here, unless they are listed after an entry and used often in the literature, in which case, they are bracketed with round brackets and not mentioned in this section.

Order

Characters are ordered by their number of strokes then their kangxi radical. Where there are successive entries beginning with the same character, the following character's number of strokes and then kangxi radical is taken into account, ad infinitum.
